El Abuelo Tempranillo Monastrell is crafted in Spain's Almansa region, where the limestone-rich soil provides an ideal growing environment for quality grapes. This 100% organic red shows bright raspberry, cherry, fig and smoky vanilla aromas. The palate is dry but supple, with spice and red fruit flavours dominating.

Tasting Notes

Spain's Almansa appellation is rich in limestone and poor in organic matter - ideal soils for quality wines! The El Abuelo (Grandfather) is deep in colour, with aromas of black fruit, cocoa and tobacco. This wine is dry and approachable, with crushed berry flavours, balanced acidity and a fine, ripe tannic structure.

A wonderful pairing with grilled lamb, roasted peppers and manchego cheese.
